notave update 2026.09.06.1441 — Fixed a save after reload that could overwrite changes made elsewhere

  • Version: 2026.09.06.1441
  • Released: September 6, 2026
  • Contents: 3 fixes, 1 improvement

Fixed

  • Fixed the first save after reloading the page overwriting changes made in another tab or on another device. Reloading with a cloud sheet open lost track of which version you had open, so the overwrite check did not run on that save. The version now carries across a reload, so if the sheet was saved somewhere else first, the save stops as it should and you can check the contents before overwriting.
  • Fixed being unable to keep editing after pressing Delete in staff input following an undo or a measure deletion. When the chart got shorter, the cursor alone stayed at its old position, and deleting a note there raised an error. Filling the last measure extends the chart automatically, so an undo right after that made it easy to hit. The cursor is now pulled back inside the chart’s length. The TAB input cursor had the same hole on that path and is fixed as well.
  • Fixed a tab left open reloading its data over and over and slowing down. Every sign-in check — a token refresh, or the re-check when you come back from another tab — refetched the data for the whole screen. It now refetches only when the person actually changes, such as signing in or out.

Improved

  • When a Ctrl+S was stopped because the sheet had been saved somewhere else first, the sheet list simply opened with no explanation. It now tells you the sheet was changed elsewhere, the same way overwriting from the list does.

Notes

  • Chart data is unaffected. Saved sheets and share links open as before.
  • The save format is unchanged.
  • The version info used to prevent overwrites is recorded the first time you save to the cloud from a given device after this update, so that first save still behaves the way it did before.
