notave update 2026.10.14.0908 — Play an audio file or YouTube video in sync with the sheet, and re-finger a bar
notave 2026.10.14.0908 is out. An audio file or a YouTube video can now play in time with the sheet, so you can check a transcription against the record or practice along, right on the sheet. You can also re-finger a selected bar without changing a single pitch. Chart data is unaffected.
notave AI is ending, and Pro is closed to new subscriptions
Due to a change in how notave is operated, the free trial of notave AI and new Pro subscriptions have ended. notave itself continues, and the free tier will be expanded step by step.

accolva 2026.08.18.1611 is out. Editing locks moved from whole parts to individual bars, so bandmates can write in the same part at the same time as long as they are on different bars. Double-click the score to start editing that bar, and see who is editing where.

Introducing accolva — a collaborative sheet music editor for bands
We have released accolva, a sheet music app for writing one score as a band. Lay vocals, guitar, bass, keys, and drums side by side, share a link so each member writes their own part, play it back, print A4 part sheets, and export MIDI. No install, and there is a free plan you can try without signing in.
notave update (2026/08/03) — Ghost notes go independent, plus new bass techniques
A technique-focused update to notave. Ghost notes are now an independent toggle you can stack on slap and pop, bass gets Thumb ↓ / Thumb ↑ (double thumbing) and L.H. slap, and rake is available on both guitar and bass. Pick an instrument and the palette shows only the techniques that instrument uses.
